About Fineberg Companies

Fineberg Management is a full-service integrated real estate management and development organization that has been doing business in Boston since 1960.

The company has grown steadily from an original base in residential rental properties to encompass retail real estate and office locations. Our holdings and operations are concentrated in the Northeast and primarily New England.

The company has had a selective approach to growth. Our basic approach is to provide complete, hands-on attention to our sites, and we have added properties and capabilities only when they complement our existing base. We try to stay well within our financial and staffing capabilities, and as a result, we have earned a solid reputation for serving our tenants, improving the value of our buildings and delivering on promises made.

But we do sometimes "push the envelope." Our original diversification into hotels, for example, was a carefully considered extension of activity into a field where we had basic expertise and experience already aboard. Our affiliated Fine Hotels Corp, which now comprises 14 properties in 5 states, has grown steadily as we have identified opportunities that meet our market criteria. We are a conservative force in this area, but we do not shy away from investments that fit our model. In fact, Fine Hotels opened its first newly constructed property on March 1, 2001, the Hampton Inn Boston-Logan Airport in Revere, MA.

The Fineberg Companies is based in the Boston area, and though we conduct business in other regions of the country, it is only when we are certain that we can provide those properties with the same attention and care as our local holdings.

Gerald Fineberg is the founder and guiding force of The Fineberg Companies. He is a New England native with deep roots in the Boston community and a rare feel for real estate and real estate investment potential. Others of our management team are industry generalists and specialists who have signed on to help guide a conservative, growth-oriented company that is in the real estate business for the "long haul."
